INSOMNIA

The coffee is too sweet and the chicken nuggets too cold. Moonlight scattered on the side of the streets, dim lights and shadows. Dusts on the deck of my window. Reflection of light on the wall. The curtian isn’t working.

The room is getting smaller.

Lights on. Books, pens and poems scattered everywhere. I tripped on piles of clothes and draft papers. There’s not a single star in the sky and not a single firefly in the park. I forgot the password to my iPad. I remembered I had an iPad. My headphone is hurting my head. My ring is hurting my finger. I’m tired, not sleepy. I’m sober, not drunk.

Sometimes I want to run away just for the day.

But there is always a reason for me to stay.
